• Sofia Library

    The Sofia Library is the largest public library in the country, it services over 38 thousand readers. The library has 3 branches in Sofia – Lyulin, Serdika and Studentski Grad and a repository of over 1 million volumes. It is an established and frequented place for presentations of new books, exhibitions, concerts and for holding round table discussions.

  • Marchela Borisova

    Chief of the department “Library Service” at the Sofia Library. Master in library management, PHD in book studies, library studies, bibliography. She teaches at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies and has a number of publications and participations in forums here and abroad. Borisova is the coordinator of the project on the part of the Sofia Library.

  • Velislava Yakova

    Librarian at the department “Service” at the Sofia Library. Master in Library Management at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies – Sofia. Her main activities are related to retroconversion of the library repository and servicing readers in their choice of literature. Yakova is an expert on the digital repositories of the project.

  • Despa Duparinova

    Librarian at the department “Information Services” at the Sofia Library. Master in library studies and bibliography. Her main activities and professional interests are in the building of bibliographical databases, analytical descriptions of periodicals and information services. Duparinova is an expert in documenting items in the project.

  • Iskra Gogova

    System administrator of the Sofia Library. Master in mathematical modeling at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She coordinates the work of the informational technologies implemented in the library and is in charge of their update. She takes part in all activities and projects of SL related to any digital content. Gogova is an expert in structuring digital repositories in the project.

  • Maria Brankova

    Chief of the department “Library Collections” at the Sofia Library. She graduated in Library studies and Bibliography at the State Library Institute. Brankova is also a master in theology at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, master in cultural-historical heritage and contemporary informational environment at the Specialized School for Library and Information Technologies, PHD student at the University for Library Studies and Information Technologies. Brankova is an expert in documenting items in the project.

  • Radosveta Radeva

    Chief Librarian in the department “Services” at the Sofia Library. She is responsible for organizing the work of the said unit on operational level and controls and allocates duties. She organizes the book servicing and informational servicing of the users. She lets library documents from the repositories of the department to be used on spot or to be borrowed. Radeva is an expert in documenting items from the cultural heritage in the project and in further development of the digital repositories of the project.

  • Rumen Nedev

    He works at the Informational and Digital Center at the Sofia Library. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He is Research Scholar – Degree III in Sociology of Labour and teaches at the Technical University at Sofia. Nedev is an expert in digitalization in the project.

  • Svetla Stoyanova

    Librarian in the department “Services” at the Sofia Library. She is a Bachelor in Library Studies and Bibliography and a Master in Business and Administrative Information Technologies and Communications at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies – Sofia. Her main activities are related to registration and library servicing of readers. Stoyanova is an expert in digitalization in the project.

  • Tanya Tomova

    Librarian at the department “Ethnography” at the Sofia Library. She is a Bachelor in Library and Information Activities and a Master in Marketing. Her main activities are related to creating a bibliographic database and analytic descriptions of periodicals. She participates actively in the development of programs of the Sofia Library and in maintaining relations with partners and sponsors. Tomova is an expert in documenting items from the cultural heritage in the project.
